During the procedure: you won't feel pain

Implant placement is done under local anaesthesia, so the area is completely numb. You'll feel gentle pressure and vibration, but not pain. Thanks to 3D-guided planning, the placement is precise and quick — often just 30–60 minutes for a single implant. Nervous patients can discuss additional comfort options with us beforehand.

After the procedure: mild and manageable

Once the numbness wears off, expect some mild soreness and possibly slight swelling for a day or two — similar to after an extraction. This is easily controlled with the simple painkillers we prescribe. Most patients are back to normal routine the next day.

Typical recovery timeline

• Day 1–2: Mild soreness/swelling, managed with medication. Soft foods.
• Day 3–7: Most discomfort gone; back to normal eating on the other side.
• Weeks 2–12: The implant fuses with the bone (osseointegration) — you feel nothing during this.
• Final visit: Your permanent crown is fitted. Done.
